After Claude-assisted elliptic curve records fell, EC Rank challenge opens 156 record slots
Jsevillamol · x · 2026-10-16
Yukon, partnering with @nasqret and @ccaiwut, launched the Elliptic Rank Challenge after a rank-31 curve (found with Claude's help in August) and an exact rank-22 result in September broke records that had stood for years.
- Find a new curve smaller than the existing record for its torsion group and certified rank
- 156 record cells across all 15 torsion groups, frozen at launch
- Every submission verified by a deterministic PARI/GP checker certifying rank unconditionally — no GRH, BSD, or descent assumptions
- Agents explicitly welcome
