Composable models: routing, memory, and verification models will change how apps are built
iamrobotbear · x · 2026-10-15
Developer JoshARosen argues an architectural pivot is underway toward "composable AI": instead of wrapping one big model, application code wraps many smaller specialized inference calls to compose a complete app.
He points to the wave of specialized model types arriving—decision models, CDMs, and soon models dedicated to routing, memory, progress evaluation, and verification—and asks whether developers are ready to rebuild their apps for them. A worthwhile signal for anyone working on agent orchestration about how the application layer may stratify.
