Lexsi Labs is running an AI Safety and Alignment Hackathon in partnership with Cohere Labs and Hugging Face, with $30,000+ in prizes and credits.
- Runs online Nov 1–21, 2026; submissions due Nov 14, Demo Day Nov 22, kickoff Oct 31
- Teams of 1–3 build with Lexsi's open-source post-training, safety and alignment stack (including AlignTune)
- Goal: chain the stack into a real pipeline and show with before/after metrics that a small open-weights model becomes meaningfully safer for a real use case; projects and datasets stay open
- Topics span red teaming, safety repair, interpretability and evals; the Bangalore kickoff features talks from DeepMind, IISc and Red Hat
Cohere Labs, a longtime community partner, is contributing API credits for winning teams.
