pen.dev launches Vibe Shaders: GLSL effects you can vibecode right on the design canvas
jakubzeg · x · 2026-10-15
Design tool pen.dev (formerly pencil.dev) relaunched shaders as "Vibe Shaders" — GLSL files living next to .pen files that can be vibecoded directly on the canvas.
- A dedicated Shader Mode lets designers fine-tune uniforms in context
- New Shader Effects apply effects to an entire object tree live, no texture wrangling
- Background Shaders sample everything below an object for custom blur or dither effects
pen.dev is an agentic canvas: Figma/HTML import, any model (Claude, GPT, Grok, Qwen, etc.), MCP integration with Claude Code/Cursor, headless CLI, and a custom WebGL pipeline for smooth multi-thousand-layer editing.
