Gary Marcus fires back at Timnit Gebru: "stop lying about me"
GaryMarcus · x · 2026-10-15
Gary Marcus publicly hit back at Timnit Gebru over claims she made about him, accusing her of fabricating facts. He says he attended only one Singularity Summit — in 2009, 17 years ago — and never returned, insisting he is not part of that world.
He also says that when he asked Gebru for evidence and definitions behind her eugenics-related claims, he wasn't saying she was wrong, yet was attacked for trying to understand her position. He asks her not to discuss him again unless she sticks to actual facts.
