Simulating a whole smartphone OS with Claude using one-line prompts
Ambitious-Lock-5928 · reddit · 2026-10-15
A Reddit user built a full smartphone OS simulation as a Claude Artifact using Opus 5.5, with only casual prompts like "Make an OS" and "What's wrong with chatter".
The sim bundles a dozen mini-apps: Chatter (a Siri-like assistant), Scribble (notes), Doodle (drawing), Sum (calculator), Quarry (app store), Ripple (Reddit without subreddits), Pass (voice-only Airdrop) and more, plus a lock screen. The author says it's a surprisingly good attempt at an OS sim without detailed prompting.
