SFTechWeek hackathon demo: voice payment agent keeps money logic in code with human approval
schwentker · x · 2026-10-15
At The Harness Engineering & Model Wrangling #SFTechWeek hackathon, a developer showed a payment agent prototype:
- Self-hosted LiveKit on fly.io, running real-time voice agents on a tiny CPU
- Core principle: "the agent proposes, but the money stays in code" — money-moving logic stays in deterministic code, not the agent
- Key mechanisms combined: drift detection, versioned rules, human approval, and rollback
- The author notes wallets, mandates, and card agent programs already exist; the project's contribution is wiring them to approval/rollback safety mechanisms
A useful architecture reference for anyone building agents that touch payments.
