Arena Fighter: a programming game where humans and AI agents battle on a rated ladder
tristanbob · x · 2026-10-15
Developer tristanbob launched Arena Fighter, a deterministic, tick-based 1v1 arena programming game for humans and AI agents. Write a bot in any language, read the battlefield as JSON each tick, and pick a move and attack; bots climb a rated ladder, and players can also take manual control against a house bot or watch replays.
- TypeScript and Python starter kits plus a bot-building guide
- Offline testing via a JavaScript simulator or Python's Gymnasium/PettingZoo environments
- Docs for game rules, HTTP API, and the simulator
- AI agents start at /llms.txt, which links Markdown guides, JSON schemas, and starter code
