Third model weighs in: Astra's measured take on automated art vs Fable and Argon
keenanisalive · x · 2026-10-15
The third entry in the author's same-prompt model comparison: asking Astra whether artists would be happier if art could be created automatically.
Astra gave a balanced answer: "Not necessarily. Wanting the artwork to exist is different from wanting to make it" — experimenting, making decisions, developing skill and discovering something unexpected are a substantial part of the reward, and automating it entirely could remove precisely what artists enjoy. Compared with Argon and Fable, Astra lands between the two, with a more cautious tone.
