Yacine: Code is a liability — the goal is solving problems with the least code possible
yacineMTB · x · 2026-10-15
Prominent AI developer Yacine MTB argues that the value of code lies in how little effort it takes to make it solve a problem — and problems change over time. Less code means easier adaptation and modification. He goes further: "Code is literally useless. Code is a liability. Having more code is actually worse overall," adding he refuses to have models output 100k lines of code, and aims to solve problems with the least amount of code possible.
