Yacine: AI agents shouldn't write 100k lines of code — more code is a liability
yacineMTB · x · 2026-10-15
AI engineer Yacine MTB says he refuses to have models output 100k lines of code. In his view, code is literally a liability — having more code makes things worse overall, and the goal should be solving problems with the least amount of code possible. Responding to a hypothetical about models churning out 100k loc/day, he argues output volume is the wrong metric; minimizing code volume is what actually matters.
