ai-newtab (797 stars, MIT license) is an open-source project that replaces Chrome's new-tab page with a daily homepage written by Claude. An agent reads your actual browsing history, opens the pages you follow while signed in as you, and generates a fresh personalized homepage — in any style you describe, from a quiet one-column digest to a dense dashboard. It rebuilds itself in the background so every new tab is up to date.
