opencode bug: read tool fails on absolute paths with truncated path error
CodeMaster013 · ghdev · 2026-10-15
Issue #55571 on anomalyco/opencode reports that the read tool returns "File not found" when given absolute paths, with the error showing a truncated path missing the /home/user/... prefix, while relative paths work fine.
- Environment: opencode 2.0.28 on Linux (Arch) with zsh
- The file exists and is readable via cat; the working directory is correct
- Other path-accepting tools (read/write/edit) are likely affected too
- Workaround: always use paths relative to the working directory
