Bittensor Subnet 55 completes 10M synthetic CRISPR experiments with 248 competing miners
markjeffrey · x · 2026-10-15
Bittensor's Subnet 55 has completed a full run of 10 million synthetic CRISPR gene-editing experiments, built and scored by miners with no real patient records involved. The work models edit success, off-target risk, and cellular repair relevant to conditions like sickle cell disease.
248 miners competed across 256 slots, with 9 validators scoring submissions and 723 tasks processed. The network now moves to a drug response / pharmacogenomics challenge.
