NormalCrafter ComfyUI nodes turn video into temporally stable normal maps
listopalafoto · reddit · 2026-10-15
A Redditor released ComfyUI nodes that convert video to surface normal maps using NormalCrafter, useful for 3D reconstruction, relighting, retexturing, video editing, and as reference for H3 Minimax/Seedance. Includes a temporal stabilizer node using optical flow to reduce flicker while preserving real motion, chunked decoding for fast low-end GPU runs. Workflow on GitHub, weights on Hugging Face, paper on arXiv (2504.11427).
