AssetFurnace: Free Open-Source Local Image-to-3D Pipeline for Game Characters
chongdashu · x · 2026-10-15
AssetFurnace (image-to-3dlab) is an open-source image-to-3D pipeline: from a prompt or picture, it generates textured, rigged, and animated game characters fully locally on Apple Silicon, NVIDIA, or AMD, under Apache-2.0.\n\nIt integrates Pixal3D, TRELLIS.2, Hunyuan3D, and SF3D, plus auto-rigging with 21 built-in moves, targeting indie game devs and 3D artists. A recent update improved its Pixel Match multi-view (front + back) approach and face fidelity, fixing issues with realistic characters' faces. A good free local alternative to paid image-to-3D APIs. The repo currently has 760 GitHub stars.
