Debate: does RNA-seq level change usually predict protein level change?
anshulkundaje · x · 2026-10-15
Stanford professor Anshul Kundaje and @arjunrajlab debate the limits of RNA-seq interpretation: RNA-level changes likely predict protein-level changes about 9 times out of 10, Kundaje agrees, but stresses that protein localization and states matter as much or more than global abundance, and RNA cannot substitute for protein evidence in many downstream use cases.
