PMs should build more themselves: how agents collapsed weeks of design into hours
thechrisperry · x · 2026-10-15
PM thechrisperry, quoting Google's Allen Hutchison ('agents took the half of engineering we handed to new grads; what's left is the questions'), argues product managers should build far more themselves: agents collapse weeks of design intuition into hours of prototypes, but many 'sure wins' turn out mediocre in daily use. With old constraints (tabs, screens, use cases) gone, the hardest part of product design is now choosing what not to build.
