Five teams shipped the same agent-visibility tool in 30 hours, none coordinated

A Reddit user noticed that within roughly 30 hours, five independent teams launched similar agent-visualization/monitoring tools: agent-native (visual UI replacing walls of text), agentplay (turns Claude Code / Codex sessions into replayable timelines and maps), agent tray (floating window showing which agents are waiting on you), coucou (lives in the Mac notch and on iPhone, approve from the lock screen, 5,180 stars since Sept 27), plus a post depicting agents as characters at desks in a pixel office.
The takeaway: five teams independently landed on the same conclusion — you can't tell what your agents are doing, and the not knowing is the actual tax. But none of them fix setup cost: a dashboard tells you an agent is stuck, not that the permission model was wrong three steps back. If agents already feel like a second job, these tools make the job more visible rather than smaller. The author asks whether anyone running one actually babysits less, or just moved where they look.
