OCP optics roundup: InnoLight touts FIT <0.01 across 100B device-hours, Credo shows LPDDR expansion

The OCP Summit delivered a wave of optical interconnect proof points (the resharing thread carries an obvious long bias, but the data is substantive):
- InnoLight (via TeraHop) showed field data: 100 billion device-hours on its silicon photonics PICs with a FIT rate under 0.01.
- Integrated vs external lasers: integrated lasers run 100 mW vs 200-300 mW external; moving the laser out loses >3 dB (half the optical power) to coupling and needs 4x front-panel cooling. NVIDIA still uses external lasers, Alibaba wants integrated, and Open CPX (Coherent a founder) supports both.
- Credo + AMD demoed OmniConnect Weaver: attaching terabytes of cheap LPDDR memory to AI chips with zero software changes, targeting HBM constraints for agentic workloads.
Takeaway: InP laser demand stays high either way, and the optical stack is shipping real hardware.
