UNC CS hiring tenure-track professors in AI safety, neuroengineering, health AI

UNC Chapel Hill's CS department is hiring multiple faculty positions as part of campus-level cluster hires:
- Two tenure-track Assistant Professor roles: Safeguarding AI in Health and Neuroengineering (starting July 1, 2027 or later)
- One Full Professor position jointly with Biostatistics, focused on 'Safeguarding AI for Health'
- Teaching faculty roles (review begins Nov 1)
The AI safety emphasis spans ML theory, AI systems, interpretability, robustness, verification, and human-AI interaction. Assistant professor review begins Dec 1; the health AI role affiliates with the Gillings Center for AI and Public Health.
