Developer Anil Matcha open-sourced Open-Dots, a self-hosted MIT-licensed AI agent workspace positioned as a free alternative to Kylon, which charges $1,200/year for company data access. The GitHub project (5.8k stars) supports Claude, Codex and existing subscriptions, ships with chat, connectors, approvals and optional computer use, and targets products like OpenAI Dots, Meta Muse, Claude Cowork and ChatGPT agent. Still an early prototype.
