CoRL 2026 RoboEval challenge scores bimanual robot policies on behavior, not just success
DJiafei · x · 2026-10-15
The CoRL 2026 RoboEval Diagnostic Bimanual Challenge (Track 2) is live, arguing that binary success rates hide how a bimanual policy fails — policies should also be coordinated, efficient, safe, and robust to spatial variation.
Key details:
- Simulator: MuJoCo with bimanual Franka Panda; 8 task families with position + orientation variants
- 3,000+ human demonstrations collected via VR and keyboard teleoperation
- Scoring: outcome 40%, safety & stability 30%, efficiency 20%, bimanual coordination 10% — 14 metrics compared against human demos
- Baselines include ACT, Diffusion Policy, and GR00T; MIT-licensed benchmark, assets, and demos
- Deadline Nov 1 (AoE), winners Nov 9, workshop presentation Nov 12 at CoRL 2026 in Austin, Texas
Submissions: policy checkpoint, evaluation logs, and a short technical report.
