Princeton University has publicly released its full Introduction to Robotics course (MAE/ECE 345, COS 346, MAE 549), with lecture videos, notes, slides, and assignments covering the theoretical and algorithmic foundations of robotic systems plus hands-on work.
Topics include:
- Feedback control: dynamics, PD control, LQR
- Motion planning: discrete BFS/DFS planning, optimal planning with Dijkstra/A
- State estimation, localization, and mapping: Bayes/Kalman/particle filtering, SLAM
- Vision and learning: optical flow, deep learning, CNNs, RL, plus robotics law, ethics, and economics
Assignments mix theory, programming, and hardware; the final project has students program drones for vision-based tasks.
