Closing post of Ai2's thread: together, ACE + HiROv2 can generate years of global climate data at resolutions fine enough to capture storms, severe winds and other local extremes — with global 3 km simulations costing 300x less than X-SHiELD, and even bigger savings for individual regions. Includes a triple-panel hurricane visualization of wind speed, sea level pressure and precipitation rate.
