Open-Source Discord MCP Server Packs 38 Tools for AI Agents to Run Your Server
EL4CTEO · reddit · 2026-10-14
A developer released discord-mcp, an open-source MCP server with 38 tools letting AI agents manage Discord servers: messages, channels, threads, roles, members, moderation, AutoMod, polls, scheduled and live events, built on Discord's newest APIs.
Key design choices:
- Use names instead of IDs ("general", "@Mods"); every tool works in bulk
- Safe by default: destructive actions, everyone pings and admin grants stay off until explicitly enabled, so malicious messages can't trick the agent
- Token-efficient tools to save usage limits
Available on GitHub and npm as @el4cteo/discord-mcp.
