The 'Agentic AI Bundle' trap: consultants repackaging products as transformation shortcuts
DavidLinthicum · x · 2026-10-14
Cloud architect David Linthicum warns of a pattern in enterprise AI: product bundles wrapped in an 'agentic AI framework,' plus methodology, a big tech vendor, and a large consultancy, sold as an accelerated AI transformation path. He's skeptical — these prepackaged bundles create the illusion of progress while locking enterprises into rigid architectures, expensive implementations, and long-term operating costs nobody discusses during the sales cycle. CIOs, CTOs and boards should be very nervous.
