Two small LLMs on a Galaxy S21 complete an Amazon shopping task locally in 51 minutes

The author ran two off-the-shelf small models fully locally on a Samsung Galaxy S21 — Gemma 4 E2B (Q3KM) as reasoner and Qwen3.5-0.8B (Q4KM) as executor — with no fine-tuning, using E2LLM/SiFR for browser perception inside the user's Firefox session. A persistent ledger owns task state, constraints, verification and recovery; each model only makes the next bounded decision. Task: assemble an Instax Mini 12 kit on Amazon under $200. Two runs ended READYFORHUMANREVIEW at $190.98 (2 items) and $143.86 (4 items, with automatic recovery from a budget violation); the raw 51-minute session, scripts and hashes are open-sourced in e2llm/edge-browser-agent on GitHub.
