Amp's Changes pane now intelligently orders diff files by importance
Amp (Sourcegraph) · rss · 2026-10-12
Amp's Changes pane now automatically orders files intelligently: the model reads the diff, identifies files essential to the change, and places them first.
- If the diff changes, Amp recomputes the order but won't rearrange files mid-review — a blue dot on the ordering button indicates an updated order you can apply.
- The new computation is much faster than the previous method; Amp published a timing comparison on the same diff.
- Alphabetical ordering remains available via the ordering button.
