Jason Rohrer shows off laser-firing bishop in his Chessamphetamine chess roguelike
jasonrohrer · x · 2026-10-14
Indie developer Jason Rohrer (Passage, One Hour One Life) shared another element of his pixel-art chess variant project Chessamphetamine: a "laser bishop" that fires a red beam along diagonals across the board. The screenshot reveals HP hearts, a level counter, a deck of 15 pieces and a SPIN wheel, showing the game is a roguelike/slot-machine hybrid rather than plain chess. Rohrer describes the post as just completing the record.
