Inside Anthropic's S-1: how the ~$400B in commitments breaks down
GavinSBaker · x · 2026-10-14
In his ongoing dispute with Ed Zitron, investor Gavin Baker broke down Anthropic's $400 billion of contractual commitments from its S-1: roughly $31 billion in annual cloud spend over 7-10 years, fundable from Anthropic's revenue, plus $161 billion in Broadcom commitments to be financed by Broadcom and private credit.
The argument is a direct rebuttal to AI skeptics conflating funded contractual commitments with non-binding trillion-dollar MOUs.
