Dev Uses Codex to Drive CapCut PC, Automating AI Video to First Draft
JaynitMakwana · x · 2026-10-14
Developer Jaynit Makwana demonstrated a Codex + CapCut PC workflow: Codex takes an AI character "Jean" from white-model render through AI video to a first edited draft, automating the repetitive menu-clicking steps. He then handles pacing, transitions, and effects inside CapCut PC, reserving his time for creative calls. He argues prompting for finished videos hits a ceiling; directing an AI that runs the editor, generates visuals and audio, then shaping the final cut yourself is closer to the ideal, and Codex + CapCut PC is the closest he's seen.
