Garry Tan: giving agents a real browser with real credentials is a real unlock
garrytan · x · 2026-10-14
Y Combinator president Garry Tan recommends AsideAI, saying that giving your agent harnesses access to a real browser with your real credentials is "a real unlock."
Per the attached screenshot, AsideAI lets you control agents remotely via Slack, Discord, and Telegram, and connects to personal assistants including Grok Bot, OpenAI dots, and Meta Muse. A sample workflow shows an agent checking a Stripe dispute and filing a response while you're away from your laptop—letting agents actually operate web services on your behalf rather than just generate code.
