Cloudflare Agents SDK adds persistent browser tool with sessions that survive between agent turns
irvinebroque · x · 2026-10-14
Cloudflare shipped a new browserTool in its Agents SDK that gives a Pi Durable agent a remote browser it can return to across turns, with tabs, cookies and login sessions preserved.
Key points:
- The model drives the browser by writing code over the Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP); screenshots come back as images for multimodal models and UIs
- Requires Agents SDK v0.28.0+: create a Browser (provider: browserRun), register it with the object's Lifecycle, and install browserTool into a Pi Durable extension registry
- The post includes a complete minimal example wiring the harness and registry inside a DurableObject
