Yap turns Claude Code and Codex agents into video editors with screen recording primitives
Scobleizer · x · 2026-10-13
Yap (justyap.io) is a free Mac menu bar app + CLI + skill that gives AI agents "eyes, ears and hands" to record and edit video — no UI, no built-in AI, just primitives for screen/camera capture and video processing. The agent reads word-timed transcripts, frames, waveforms, scene/cursor events and loudness data, then cuts, captions and exports on request. Every edit is a reversible revision, originals stay untouched, and all processing is local. Requires Apple Silicon and macOS 26+.
