Apple launched Apple HomeView, a smart home hub that pairs a 7-inch (6.98") Liquid Retina display with a speaker base — usable on a desk or wall-mounted (with wall-specific audio tuning).
Key features:
- Integrates the Home app to control lights, locks, and thermostats; camera dial shows up to 9 feeds at once
- Handoff: pick up music, video, calls, or recipes from your phone seamlessly
- Recognizes up to 6 family members via face and voice, auto-switching to each person's calendar, reminders, and content
- Detects traditional smoke/CO alarm sounds and pushes alerts to iPhone or Watch
- Idle mode acts as photo frame/clock with Snoopy and Flow faces
- New Apple Home Collection accessories (cameras, thermostats, locks) with end-to-end encryption, compatible with Matter/HomeKit
