This developer built an Obsidian Agent that cleans the inbox with one sentence — 17 files sorted in 2 minutes
vista8 · x · 2026-10-13
The author demos a self-built Agent running inside Obsidian: a single instruction — "clean up the Inbox files, delete what's not needed" — takes 2m8s and clears 17 pending files. Per the screenshot: 14 go straight to trash (expired update notices, outdated flight info, duplicate notes), 2 reading notes get filed into a Projects notebook, and a shopping link is archived elsewhere. Kept notes are untouched, links stay intact, deleted files remain recoverable via system trash, and 20 files are synced. The setup uses GPT-6.1-Sal. A practical example of delegating personal knowledge-base maintenance to an agent.
