Codex Computer Use on Windows 10 reads WeChat/QQ accessibility text but screenshot capture times out
wangbaibaihanbao-star · ghdev · 2026-10-12
A bug report on openai/codex (#53321) describes Computer Use on Windows 10 enumerating WeChat and QQ windows and reading accessibility text fine, but window screenshot capture repeatedly failing with FrameArrived timed out.
Because capture geometry is unavailable, clicking freshly observed elements also errors out, blocking desktop workflows like navigating chat history. Window activation and some keyboard navigation still work. The issue includes full reproduction steps, environment details (Codex 26.1007, build 19045), and diagnostic GPU info, with 9 comments and no workaround yet.
