Dev builds ChatShelf Chrome extension with Claude to add folders and full-text search to claude.ai

After 1,100+ chats made claude.ai's title-only search useless, a developer built ChatShelf: nested folders (also works on gemini.google.com), full-text message search, bulk Markdown/JSON export, and saved prompts.
The extension was built almost entirely by pairing with Claude, which scaffolded the Manifest V3 code, caught a 1,000-chat pagination limit, wrote mocked unit tests, and found a Gemini export bug. Everything runs locally in the browser with no servers. Free tier offers 3 folders and top-5 search; Pro is a $19 one-time purchase.
