opencode bug: TUI part of Git-installed plugins is silently skipped despite server reporting active
wienans · ghdev · 2026-10-13
A reproduced bug in opencode v2.0.28: V2 plugin packages installed via opencode.c plugins as Git specs (e.g. git+https://…#branch) never get their ./tui entrypoint loaded by the TUI, even though the server reports the plugin as active with features.tui: true.
- The skip is fully silent at default log level, making TUI-side features (like an update toast driven by source.outdated) unreachable
- The same package works when configured in cli. instead
- The issue includes a minimal repro with dual-entry exports, the opencode plugin add install command, and verification via opencode api plugin.list
Worth knowing for teams distributing opencode plugins from private Git repos.
