Is a DIY ComfyUI Video Pipeline Really Better Than Higgsfield/Runway APIs?
turbulent-waffle-69 · reddit · 2026-10-13
After using API services like Higgsfield, Runway and ElevenLabs, the author tried building a ComfyUI pipeline with LTX 2.5 and WAN 2.2 for video creation — only to discover after 16 hours that quality output requires at least an A100/A6000 GPU and bf16, forcing a restart on Runpod. The open question: is ComfyUI output genuinely better than mainstream platforms, and worth the learning curve?
