OpenAI denies Pro 200 grandfathering to a subscriber billed through the eligibility window

A Redditor details being denied OpenAI's ChatGPT Pro 200 grandfathering despite being billed $212.80 monthly on 7/6, 8/6, 9/6, and 10/6—inside the official eligibility window—with no lapses. Support first confirmed in writing that his subscription history met the date requirement, then reversed twice without naming a criterion or answering his numbered questions. Meanwhile OpenAI's own system granted him the one-time 62,500 usage credits (claimed $2,500 value, 57,889 still remaining), i.e., it counted him as an existing subscriber for credits but not for the allowance. He also flags opacity: the UI never shows which allowance multiplier (20x vs 10x) applies—support admits it can't confirm either—and purchased resets silently cancel your scheduled weekly reset, a rule only documented in a help page. Heavy Codex users are the only ones likely to notice.
