AI writes code 100x faster, but watch out for slopsquatting supply-chain attacks

The author notes that work taking weeks of coding and debugging two years ago now takes 30 seconds with LLMs — but warns that code hallucinations are a real threat. AI can hallucinate package names that attackers register to deliver malware (slopsquatting). They urge developers to audit dependencies for such risks and check code for vulnerabilities before shipping: AI makes coding faster, not automatically secure.
