Indie dev trick: QR code points to self-hosted /go/ link that routes iOS vs Android to the right store
iannuttall · x · 2026-10-13
Developer iannuttall shared a neat tactic: his QR code points to a /go/ link he built on his own backend. The endpoint detects whether the visitor is on iOS or Android and redirects to the matching app store URL.
It's a simple fix for the "QR codes get messy across platforms" problem — no third-party service needed, just a few lines of backend code, and one QR code works for both business cards and promotional material.
