Fix plastic AI skin: Z-Image Turbo + KREA 2 I2I workflows with benchmarks
Ok_Contribution8157 · reddit · 2026-10-13
The author shares image-to-image workflows for fixing the "plastic skin" look of AI-generated images: based on a 2K upscaler approach, the upscaling step is removed and the model swapped to the int8.convrot build of Z-Image Turbo, easily added to KREA 2 Turbo and Qwen-Image-Edit workflows with minimal extra processing time.
Measured performance (1024×1024):
- Z-Image Turbo I2I alone: 3s/image on RTX 5070 Ti, 6s on RTX 5060 Ti 16GB
- KREA 2 Turbo + Z-Image Turbo: 9.5s on 5070 Ti, 19s on 5060 Ti
The workflows are available for free on Civitai and GitHub.
