DigitalOcean Launches Agent Data Services, Replays 10 Production Scenarios in Under a Minute
testingcatalog · x · 2026-10-12
DigitalOcean introduced Agent Data Services (private preview), a fully managed data layer for AI agents:
- Unified read/write memory layer: agents continuously read live context and write back learnings; execution loops, logs and state are captured near real time, addressing stale RAG pipelines and fragile custom memory scripts
- Zero pipeline overhead: new data is transcribed, described, classified and embedded automatically — no custom extractors, vector stores or glue code to maintain
- Unified multimodal catalog: files, audio, video, documents and telemetry land in a tenant-isolated catalog queryable via SQL, vector search or APIs
Simulations run on the same agent setup and tools used in production, with mock tools to simulate costly actions. It works with Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode agents, and DigitalOcean says it replayed 10 production scenarios end-to-end in under a minute, with a human approving every fix. Access is by request.
