Mochi: an open-source desktop companion that watches your Claude Code agents for you
brute984 · reddit · 2026-10-13
A developer released Mochi, a free MIT-licensed Claude Code plugin that solves the 'I don't want to keep checking the terminal' problem. The animated companion reacts to coding, tests, errors and permission requests; shows context-window usage and session/weekly limits; follows background agent activity; helps intercept potentially destructive commands; and gamifies coding activity with unlockable accessories. Runs fully locally. Repo: github.com/oztrkemree/mochi. The author asks: always-visible companion vs traditional statusline—what would you prefer?
