Prompt-to-CAD: wiring SteveCAD's MCP server into an agent workflow with review
burhop · x · 2026-10-12
The author wired SteveCAD's MCP Server into Wright and built a reusable workflow: a prompt triggers the agent to do engineering design, model the part in SteveCAD, export wireframes, run CAD and engineering reviews, generate a design document, render three views, and produce a design retrospective and supporting files. Screenshots show the full node pipeline and intermediates, ending in a rendered robotic-arm assembly — a closed loop from prompt to reviewed CAD deliverable.
