Codex builds a photo culling tool that ranks shots by face, context and scene
banteg · x · 2026-10-12
banteg used Codex to build a culling tool for 5,000 photos from an event: it filters by faces and context, then applies local models to split shots into scenes and rank photos within each scene, surfacing only the top-ranked picks.
It's a nice example of using coding agents outside software engineering: the agent wires up image recognition models and UI logic into a working media triage workflow you could replicate for any large photo dump.
