Ondas and Palantir announced Regna AI, a standalone company that helps governments and enterprises deploy mission-specialized fine-tuned AI models in sovereign environments, targeting defense, security, and critical infrastructure markets.
- Models are designed for on-prem and edge deployment, including ISR platforms such as drones, stratospheric balloons, ground vehicles, and surface vessels, plus command-and-control nodes, supporting DDIL (denied/degraded/intermittent/limited) connectivity conditions.
- The stack combines open-weight models, customer-controlled mission data, and Palantir's operational platform to propose mission-plan updates for human review.
- Ondas is the first customer, running autonomous mission orchestration on the edge via SkyWeaver C4I.
- CEO Eric Brock: "No government should have to build its AI strategy on models or data infrastructure it does not control."
